Strange Shaped Egg!! - is there something wrong with my chicken?

Just got this today...very narrow and bumpy egg. I have a few hens that haven't been laying and i don't know if its one of theirs or one of my regular layers that is having a bad day!!! does this look like something internally wrong or what??!!

Odd eggs *can* be an indicator of something more serious, depending on other factors like old age, new layer hiccup, respiratory symptoms, or other.

Yours reminds me of the one described as corrugated #13, but I can't be positive so use your best judgement according to what you are seeing in person! A good article that discusses many egg quality issues and their POTENTIAL causes...

Thank you! That's a very interesting article. The yolk looked normal but the white was very thick and then there was a smaller than normal amount of runny white
