Strange stuff going on with hen's head

Hi all,
It started with what looked like a scratch with feathers missing in a tiny line above her eye and around the back of the head. It is now a bald spot above her eye that is the same color and texture as the red skin around her eye and seems to be growing slowly. She is constantly shaking her head.
My thought was some type of fungus and I was putting BlueCote on daily but it hasn't helped at all. It's been too cold to put a cream or ointment on her.
We were fighting mites for a while but can't imagine that to be the cause of whatever is going on with her head.
Any ideas? Sorry the picture isn't very clear, but the best I can do.

I do. I hadn't even thought of that being the cause.

My hens get that sometimes from roosters all the time. That is not to hard to fix. clean the cut and separate her from roos for 1-2 weeks if possible get more hens or get rid of roos.

Just one rooster and he has 10 hens. I guess she is a favorite. I will try keeping her in the garage for a bit.
