Hi there,

I cracked one of our fresh eggs this morning and found this (picture) in the egg. We do not have a rooster in our flock. It doesn’t look like any worm I have seen, however it isn’t anything I have found in our eggs before ‍♀️.
Anyone have an idea?

Thanks!!

It's just a meat spot. No big deal. Sometimes a little piece will slough off from the reproductive tract into the egg. You can get blood spots on occasion too without the egg being fertile.

Welcome to BYC @Shal42!
Those are great pics....
...but, yeah, meat spot
(a tiny piece of tissue breaking loose from the reproductive tract)

Think it's explained in this great video
(which is worth watching even if it doesn't)
