Strange tasting eggs!!!

Something they are eating or drinking in likely the culprit.... Does she eat them herself>?

Feeds high in Omega 3 are also said to cause a unpleasant or fishy tast to some folks. Some folks have very sensitive taste buds and will notice much more than average folks when it comes to egg flavor, same type folks get food and wine tasting jobs

Another thing could be flax seed as in large amounts will add flavor to eggs that is unpleasant to some folks.

My grandpa always said to be careful what to feed the hens cause it would change the egg flavor....

Is she washing them in some sort of cleaner that can penetrate the egg shell?

Well, spoke to the lady I get eggs from and we were trying to figure out what could have been giving the eggs the bad flavour. She did say that she had seen the chickens getting into the calf feed and thought that may have done it. They are eating silage and a meal made from the cooked hops from the local brewery... do you think this could be the culprit for the flavour? I am going to try some of her eggs again next week and see what they are like. She has gotten new bins for the calves to eat from that the chickens can't get into... she said she noticed a bad taste recently but the eggs the last few days have been fine. I am hoping it was the calf feed - these eggs were lovely until they started getting this horrid flavour! We'll see...
