Strange Tracks in Pen *Logical Conclusion on Page 46*

Well, i'm not having much luck at all. This cam has gone from taking 600+ pics a night to under 100. Going to call the manufacturer today and complain. The new cam is missing the a battery pack, but i did manage to find that type of battery at the Dollar Tree store yesterday, but still haven't gotten to Frys to buy some new SD cards. This critter tracking ain't cheap!

So, no tracks, but lot's of Fluffy. i think the rain is keeping whatever it is away. But i do think Fluffy is making himself very comfortable under that playhouse. i find new holes dug every day. Of course, he continues to ignore the trap with the yummy peanut butter inside.

Anyhow, here he is again:

. . . and, this cam does take lovely color daytime pics. Here are my girls:

Oh darn, it looks like the date and time reset itself. The batteries must be low.

You better watch out or you'll be getting attached to Fluffy

here pretty quick!!

Pretty amazing little camera though for the money. I'm going to get one just for the sake of it.
Had a coyote out my kitchen window this morning staring straight at me. I've seen them outside
of our fenced 4 acres, but this is the first time I've seen them on the property in 12 yrs. here.
I hold no grudges against them, just good to know where they're traveling.

Yikes! That sounds scary. i hope you don't have outside cats, as i've heard that coyotes think they're a pretty good snack.

You know, i am getting a little attached to Fluffy. Haven't put out bait as i don't want him to suffer. i think i would feel bad shooting him. i wish he would go in that trap so i can take him out into the woods.

Yes coyotes and cats are BAD. I don't believe in letting cats outside just because it is SOO bad here.

That would be a wonderful thing to do for Fluffy! Just make sure you take him far. He might go in it when he gets used to it. Have you tried squishing chicken food into the peanut butter and making sure all the other food in the area in inaccessible? You may need to pick up the chickens food at night, so he isn't porking out on that instead of the yummy trap food. Just ideas!

Maybe the mark-maker will come out when it stops raining, or maybe fluffy is keeping it away!

We now have a river along the backside of the house, where we have been meaning to put up gutters. The ducks like it. i'm picturing a soggy foundation and thousands of dollars in dry rot damage.

WhiteMountainsRanch - i have scratch squished into the peanut butter, but maybe i'll add some chicken feed in there, too. i do keep the chicken food container inside the aviary, so if it spills it spills in there. But my girls don't eat all the scratch i put out for them every morning, so he must be picking through the dirt to get that. But it's so sparse and mixed in with the dirt, that it isn't feasible for me to clean it all up every night

i did finally go buy a couple new SD cards for the cameras, with more memory. When i called the manufacturer of that first camera today, they said that was probably the reason the camera was taking less and less pictures. i guess we'll see about that tomorrow morning.

Assuming that you are erasing the card every day, the size of the SD card is NOT the problem. If it took 600 pictures on the first day and then you erased them, it should take 600 pictures on the next day.

At least I'm not the only person who keeps an eye on their flock

Lights come on if there is motion and i am alerted if there is anything moving in my run and my dogs are there in 3 seconds flat

Hi Cindy, yeh, you would think, huh? i suspect the game cam manufacturers would prefer to place the blame on something other than their camera. i guess we will see. i have both cameras out now with new SD cards. Would be nice to get pics of something other than Fluffy . . . and Stinky.
