Okay, i am back from the store with two 2gb sd cards. i'm going to test them and make sure all is working today before putting them in the pen tonight.
This probably can be an ongoing thread of what travels through or peeks into that pen at night. And that is just one pen - i have 10 more! (i just can't afford 10 more game cams)
At some point in this thread someone mentioned that snakes may not trigger the infrared motion sensor on the cam. I was wondering about this, and I did some looking at photos of snakes under infrared light and they do not show up! I still think it's a snake. Just worried that all the work for the cameras may only get you more portraits of fluffy and stinky...
I can't take credit for the expression "Coop Ness Monster," someone else came up with that in an earlier reply, I was just reinforcing the term - which is great!! We could always have a spin off thread with that title and people could speculate on all the critters and what not that are mysteriously stalking us.
PS Can't we "off" Fluffy even if he isn't the culprit - he is a mighty prime rat and you don't want him reproducing big, big, rats, even if they are fluffy. He gives me the 'willies.'
If it wasn't so cold out, i would stick a hose under that playhouse and sit at the back with my pellet gun. As much as he is the star of the show, i really don't like the idea of him (or her) scampering about the pen all night.
i haven't seen those tracks in the pen for a while now. Wondering if they will show up again when it stops raining.

Wait! I thought you were going to take Fluffy for a ride in the country!!
Some of us have gotten attached to her. Personally, I still think the drag marks are from her very well endowed boyfriend who I'm beginning to think of as a sort of Rattus norvegicus version of John Holmes.
All this talk about cameras makes me want to put my webcam out in the coop so I can just watch what's going on out there from right here in front of my computer, which is where I have been spending most of my life recently anyway. I'm not very technical so does anyone know just how that's done? I guess I'd need a 100 ft. cord from my cam in the coop back to my pc, or do they have wireless webcams? Anyway, I'm still subscribed and will stay with this till the bitter end. I just have to know what it is!
