Sure am glad, that isn't in front of MY house:D

Had one just a little bigger at my house. I MOVED to a new house. Now there is only a chance of MOUNTAIN LIONS and LYNX and BOBCATS...but no bears...

I do not believe the waiting is entirely healthy, for those such as myself, that may have had blood presure issues.

I am still waiting for the day that one of those big snakes dumped into the Florida Everglades makes it way north and the local lakes and waterways are infested with them to the point that water activites are unsafe and waterfront property prices dive due to safety concerns.

My parents and sister live out by the Glades (Homestead) and my mom was going to my sisters house and almost drove over one that took up the whole width of the road. She thought it was a log until it moved

She waited for it to finish crossing the road before she continued.... We have way to many alligators too!

i'm sorry, Deb, the suspense is raising my blood pressure, too! i'll keep putting the cam out, but seems like not much shows up when it's pouring here. i should use this time to research snake traps. If a snake doesn't set off the cam, then i'll have to figure out another way to catch it (other than sitting in the pen with a red handkerchief on the end of a stick).

It's supposed to clear up on Monday.

well how i use to catch snakes is i would buy some of those frozen mice say from petsmart and I would take like a Large pringles tube and cut a small round hole maybe 1/3 to half an inch depending on the size of the snake somtimes if it was large I would cut a 1 inch round hole and then put 1 or 2 of the mice inside then put it around the area the snake lurks and when it goes in the hole and eats the mouse its to fat to get out but you can use any kind of box for this tho its not the greatest snake trap but I caught a few lol

I would have driven back and forth over the dang thing to kill it!

It is a totally invasive species, and the way it is going noone and no pet will be safe any where in that region. And the experts still are undecided how far north these massive snakes will survive, but I'm betting Florida will not be the only state having to deal with these snakes.

Now we return you to the regularly scheduled program.

Maybe it was one of the FL snakes that made the marks in the OP's area.

OMG, I hope not. Cuz those snakes can eat the whole coop, including Fluffy beneath it.
