Just read though the whole thread, fluffy is a nice rat since s/he doesn't bother your chickens, going to sub to this thread in the hope you'll find out what was making them tracks
 
Maybe it is the flash that is deturring the snake...

Try putting a red filter over the flash, and see what happens then. (Just tape some red transluscent plastic over it, like a seperator for a binder)

How long has it been since you've seen the strange marks that started this thread, anyway?

Last time was the first week in March. That was the last time it wasn't raining and storming. We are now finally into a dry spell, so wondering if the tracks will show up again.

i am still putting the cam out every night, with fresh batteries, and a clean SD card. i only got a couple pictures on the cam this morning. They were pretty scary . . . i'm sure you can see why. Flower print with checks? That's most likely what scared Fluffy away.
