i actually saw the tracks this morning in the pen, close up to where the camera was mounted. With over 200 pictures on the cam, i figured i would see what was making them. What i did see was that rat, but on the other side of the pen, not running in the area where the tracks were made. Now i'm really baffled. Maybe i can mount one cam on the outside of the pen pointing in and the other inside pointing across the pen. Weather is nice and warm like the last time these tracks appeared, which was approximately last month.
Hopefully i'm close to an answer. Then SilkieChickenLover336, you need to take over. Bears and coyotes are far more interesting than one lone rat.

BTW - i just changed the title of this thread so folks will know what they're getting into. i feel bad for those that have read through 44 pages only to realize it's still a mystery.

I don't read all the pages - just the last page once and a while to see what's been going on ...

Hire a teenager to monitor the baby cam! The infrared must not be seeing the huge serpent in your midst. Seriously though Enchanted, thanks for your diligence and expense. And don't let the pressure get to you. We'll be ok, even if it's only Fluffy dragging home loaves of bread.
i have been reading this til' day 1!!!!! you should stake out for a couple of nights and see for yourself! maybe its a rock that moves??? i have a pet rock!!!! but sadly he bite me so i had to put him down
