Strangest and Silliest Chicken Names?

G. Funky the meanest EE rooster ever!!! he killed Blue Cheese the Silkie! lucky for me Alistair the Ameraucana and Mallard the Cochin are much, much nicer. Mallard's grandson Chive, too... Dove and Spice the Game cocks not so much.

I tried to stick to classic names but the silliest we have in the bunch is a clue Cochin pullet named Gizmo

a Barred Rock pullet named Elvis,

A columbian Wyandotte pullet named Oreo (shes my baby )

and a Blue laced Red Wyandotte pullet named Tater tot (my other baby)

My favorite roo is Francoise. He's a Marans and when he hatched I was reading a biography about Francoise I of France. I thought, French king, French chicken...it was meant to be!

Continuing the historical theme, I have 3 pullets named after queens who lost their heads: Ann (Boleyn), Catherine (Howard) and Marie (Antionette). I don't plan on my girls ever meeting a similar fate, though!

By far my favorite names, and chickens, were a fat, cheerful Buff Orpington named Nanny Ogg and a serious, clever (for a chicken) Barred Rock named Granny Weatherwax like the witches in Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels.

A light brahma my BF calls furry legs, and a australorp he refers to as half @$$ after her run in with a dog, other big australorp is named Oprah... the one with the ghetto booty!
