Strangest looking laying hen I have EVER seen. Got any ideas???

Actually there are Calico males, but they are rare. Rarer still is a muted calico male.


I can't decide if she looks like:

a.) she's gone broody

or

b.) she's hatching a feindishly clever plot.... "if I lay here, the chickens will come to me! Yes, yes they will! And then I can eat them, with no running at all!! Bwaaahahahhahaha!"

oh, wait. That is my cat. Never mind.

maybe she is jealious of all the attention the chickens get so she is pretending to be one lol..very cute either way thansk for sharing

we had one had a nest in our backyard once, it tore our neighbors dog to pieces for getting close to it's eggs!
 
Thats funny. I should get my grandson next time he decides to get up where they lay. Mine won't use an individual box. they will lay on the ground first. I have a shelf with a couple of dividing boards and they usually all lay in one spot all together.
