Actually there are Calico males, but they are rare. Rarer still is a muted calico male.
I can't decide if she looks like:
a.) she's gone broody
or
b.) she's hatching a feindishly clever plot.... "if I lay here, the chickens will come to me! Yes, yes they will! And then I can eat them, with no running at all!! Bwaaahahahhahaha!"
Thats funny. I should get my grandson next time he decides to get up where they lay. Mine won't use an individual box. they will lay on the ground first. I have a shelf with a couple of dividing boards and they usually all lay in one spot all together.
