Strangest pet you or someone you know has owned?

I had friend who owned raccons and skunks and a family friend who owned a monkey. That monkey was a mischievous little butthead to. He'd steal your glasses right off your face, pull your hair if you weren't paying attention to him. He broke all the glasses in the cabinet once.

Many moons ago I had a pet crow. They make awesome pets! They are so smart and funny. She was found with a broken wing and never recovered the ability to fly, so I kept her as a pet.

Really I never had 'strange' pets...Or at least we always thought they were 'normal'. I grew up finding all kinds of wild animals, and bringing them home to raise. Birds, cats, snakes, spiders, once tried to raise a bunch of wasps. Oh wasn't that fun...lol We went fishing once when I was younger. Brought our fish home and put him in our wagon until we got something bigger for him. He was so big that he didn't fit in the wagon completely. So pretty soon we had our plastic swimming pool filled and he lived in there the rest of the summer..I think it was a 'sheephead'...or at least that's what we called them.
My mom growing up had some not so common animals... besides the basic farm animals....They had 3 bear cubs my grandpa brought home on time. They raised them for years and years. They also had pet skunks (never descented either), possums, squirrels, raccoons, monkeys, lizards, iguanna's, deer that were raised from fawns and returned year after year once grown, they even had a pet fisher at one time. It seemed if the animal was found in the wild, some how they ended up with an orphaned baby or two and would raise them.
So I guess that's it....Not really to 'strange'

Oh my goodness YES I remember them...My aunt had all kinds of them and would never ever let me play with them....We were just talking about them about a month ago.....lol

I also had a pet squirrel when I was little....It was wild but everyday it would come to our porch and eat crackers outta my hand.

I had a few mongooses as pets when we were kids. Also because we lived right on the beach we could catch and bring home any aquatic animal we wanted to try to keep, octopus, barracuda babies, puffer fish, mantis shrimp, scorpion fish, moray eels, jelly fish. you name it. Several years ago an older lady left me a baboon and a wolf in her will. Yes, for real, a baboon named Devin and a wolf named Patches.

I have a female buffalo named Beula. Got her as a calf 19 years ago and she's still going strong. Used to breed her with a Brahma bull. They made a strange looking calf. It was always striped like a tiger and mean as a rattlesnake. After 7 mean calves, I quit bredding her. Now she just hangs out with Nosey, my charlay cow and passes the time.

I also had a wolf hybred I got for Christmas when I was 2. I named him "Shasta" because that's the pop I liked then(he was 6 weeks old when we got him). He was the most beautiful dog I had ever seen. I was 80% wolf and 20% Malumute. White and snow and a huge fluff ball as a puppy. He lived to be about 13 years old. Never had a problem with him. I don't think he knew he was more wolf than dog either. Actually he was more like a teddy bear. He was and still is my most favorite pet I ever had.
