Strawberry stealers....

I was sitting outside with my hens today, eating strawberries and sharing the end pieces with them. At first they were happy playing chicken chase with the pieces I tossed them. They then saw me still eating a berry and came running. Next thing I knew one of them flew up into my lap and tried to snatch my last strawberry from me! Cute. Had to share.

I grew alpine strawberries as ground cover and once my chickens found where I planted them, they started stealing them right off the plants. One of my dogs loves to snatch them off the plants too. I don't mind, I really don't eat them anyhow, so might as well make the animals happy!
