Mira was teaching Charcoal how to climb a tree. On the tree next to them, Echo was teaching Maiya how to hunt (she'd never bothered learning).
"Okay," Echo was saying, "for squirrels, you want to crouch silently on as wide of a branch as you can find. When the squirrel comes within range, spring up and be sure to hook your claws into the neck. This way-"
"But then I'll get dirty!" Maiya yowled, looking disgusted.
"Would you rather be dirty, or hungry?" Echo sighed and continued in her demonstration.
