Stray cats :(

I live in a town. Everyone seems to have their cats out running the streets. I just knew I was going to have problems with them. I have security with night sensors. I have watched how the cats come up to my run and lay around watching the pullets. I have seen them spraying around also. They have never tried to attack. At night I watch raccoons , opossums, fox, and once a coyote sniffing around the coop and run. I have never had them stay around and I think it is because of the cats. They just sniff around and leave.

We have a few feral cats hanging around that always freak out the chickens whenever they see one (the chickens are in a hardwarecloth enclosed run). The cats are scruffy looking and do not appear that anyone is feeding them. I have considered trapping them and taking them to the humane society, just to keep the birds from making so much noise when they see them.
The cats would definitely kill the chickens if they could get to them.
