the picture I posted of my hen (Loretta) was a rescue also my dad found it In his Pampas bush and believe me Loretta is wilder than h-e double l. When I see her In the nest box I try to sneak and crack the lid on the nest box and she flies out of there screaming. Is your hen setting? If you walk over towards her she'll probably do what my hen does like I said before she'll probably take off screaming and come back when you're not around. She won't attack you. But it will scare you because hens can get off their nest faster than you can blink.
