Ok so I haven't noticed this with any other breed of chook we've raised but I'm trying my hand at Mille Fleur D'Uccles. My 4 chicks are about 2 weeks old and I have noticed that when they are stressed, in new situations (going outside for the first time, wrapping a curly toe so it straightens out, etc) that they have these rust brown, very runny foul smelling poops. I mean you get this stuff close enough to smell and you'll yak...
They are the cudddliest chicks I've ever raised and are often content to cuddle with me in the evening while I watch tv, but new situations always seem to bring out the evil stench-poop. Anyone else ever had this experience? Is it a D'Uccle thing?? A Bantam thing??
