Thürigian Bearded Bantam (Critically Endangered Breed)

It is that simple! As long as they’re pure bred!
That gives me hope! My youngest Self Blue is also a cockerel. I'm currently trying to rehome him. I've got one pair of Porcelains I'm keeping, the other pair I'm also rehoming. I've also got an EE to rehome. Them I'm going to get some more chicks, hopefully another Self Blue and hope for female, and another Mille and hope for male.

Four of the seven color varieties recognized by the American Poultry Association have mottling. Mille Fleur, Porcelain (which is millies with the lavender gene), golden neck (millies with dominant white gen to get rid of the black), and mottled (mottling over Extended black I think). As for the ABA, they recognize 10 varieties and the same four have mottling.
There are project colors out there. I really like Silver Mille Fleurs. They’re technically mottled, but since they’re mostly white it gives a black polka dot affect to the feathers. Really neat!
I want golden necks!

Same! They actually look pretty similar to the chamois Thürigians mentioned earlier in the thread!
I have a pair of millies, and two pairs of porcelains, though one of my pairs of porcelains aren’t doing too good. I’m hoping they recover for next years projects. On the other hand, my Mille Fleurs both could be split for the lavender gene (according to the breeder I got the hatching eggs from). I’d like to start a couple of my own projects, including bbr’s, ginger reds, and silver Mille Fleurs.

I hope they get better! One of my pairs is just so skittish. The other pair is more calm, so I'm keeping that pair.

Those sound like great projects! I'm hoping to get to a point where I'm comfortable enough with the genetics to do things like that. I also want to breed bantam cochins and BBS Orpingtons.

From their description, Thürigian Bearded bantams seem very similar to Belgian bantams in general, like d’anvers, d’uccles, and watermaals.
My Millie pair enjoy being picked up and will occasionally fly up to me. They’ve scared my socks off a time or too when I’m not expecting it! Lol

Same! My MF, Self Blue, and one pair of Porcelains will fly right up to my shoulder. And if I bend down to do something too close to them, they're all over my back, lol.
