Three weeks ago, my little dog got into the coop and freaked-out all of my chickens. I have since moved the coop closer to the house and put up a fence with a rock barrier at the bottom so no one can dig underneath. The chickens are all much safer and the rest of my chickens are back to laying, but the two RIRs haven't seemed to lay or be inclined to lay since the incident. It's like they are on strike or something.

I am wondering if it's possible for a chicken to just up and stop laying altogether for the rest of their lives? I am wondering how long I should wait before I give up on them.

Thanks!
