Gamebird crumble is $25 for 20kg at 28% here in Australia. I calculated that is costs close to $1 to produce each meat bird considering the utilities. Then you got to slaughter and process. A processed bird from the supermarket averages $3 each. It's a lot of work that we do for our birds. But, nothing can compare with the taste and tenderness of home slaughtered birds. Also, some of us just love raising birds altogether.
