Elizabeth, do you know what breed those hens are with the guitar? And do you find them aggressive? I have 6 and sometimes they are just way too adventurous for their own good.
I rescued her off a chicken truck as a pullet before she was thrown into a local egg factory facility.
I have been wondering exactly what she is also- I think she is iether a Comet or a Shaver Red, used to think she was a red-star sex link but I'm just not sure. she is a Pullet here still and has lost the white flecking and is now a solid golden red.
She is HIGHLY food motivated, but sweet sweet disposition- very inquizitive and likes to be in your business! We had another one too, also rescued from the same facility with the same personality. Just can't scare em' away!!! My husband was building a deck and I finally had to put Bunny and Delilah away as they were following him up ladders and walking right on the boards he was sawing- the noise never bothered them.
We would take Bunny for a walk in the park (no leash) she would just follow us. We didnt have them as babies as I said we rescued them as pullets and I KNOW they were not loved and handled being raised factory birds- so that tells ya how friendly they naturally are!
