Anyone else in the UK or elsewhere struggling to find feed that isn't crazy expensive? We always buy in 20kg bags.

My starter feed was ~£17 a bag, now ~£31
My grower feed was ~£17 a bag, now ~£31
My layer feed was ~£15 a bag, now ~£27

I am seeing a lot of places selling feed slightly cheaper but their delivery costs are all between £7 and £20 a bag! Don't drive nor have anyone willing to go get some for me so proper struggling!

Found a possible starter feed for turkeys I may have to purchase?

But no where can I find reasonable layer feed that has both the protein and calcium at a good level! Going to be a fun night on Google :thumbsup

Feed has been going up in price everywhere. Every time I've gone to the feed store this year, the price has gone up. :-(
It's getting ridiculous right? When it went up last year about 50% I wasn't so annoyed as it was steep but I could manage. Now it's gone up around 80% on that new price tag.. bloody insane!

Now that my new greenhouse is done, it's time for me to start my black soldier fly project back up. They're high in protein and contain calcium, so they're a good addition to feed. They will allow me to feed my birds a bit more veggie scraps too. That's one way to reduce feed costs.
Definitely something I should start doing, just not sure I've got the space to do so. Will have to look into smaller scale farms for them I can stack on top of each other or something! Thank you for reminding me!
