Stuck in a stereotype?

I tell ya, I know where you're coming from! I'm blonde.... so imagine my grief! Everyone thinks right off the bat that I'm dingy! Far from it.... And also, the stereotype you're in... I'm kinda there too. Where I come from is where the term Hillbilly orginated... Southeasten Kentucky. and I, like you am very opionated! & proud of it. There's nothing wrong with that! I'll tell you how I handle it... I roll with it! I have all kinds of Blonde & Kentuckian jokes. I figure I'd just laugh about it or die mad... But I do have some strong opionions about the Government and where it's headed.... I love my country, I constantly write congressmen, and the White House... Heck, I've been know to call them too... just to tell them what I think.

Most people see me as "the Martha Stewart type"

Enter my home - I'm not even close!!!!!

I am seen as wife and mother - so much so there are probably very few people in my current circle that could actually tell you what my name is.

I am so and so's mom or garys' wife or the "one with the chickens", to all the teens that think they live here I am "Mrs. B.

I was given a name at birth - maybe I should hold a contest - see how many know what it is

I have purple hair, piercings that number into the double didgets, a awesome start to a tattoo that takes up half my back and I wear dark clothing. The fact that I have a garden almost the size of my house, chickens, ducks, pigs and goats. Along with sewing my clothes, baking my own bread and making my laundry soap astounds the person who doesn't know me. The fact that my grandma loves the fact that I am homesteading and has never said a negative word about my appearence is completly awesome!

So the guy has no concept of money in real-world terms.... I don't think I'd give his thoughts on payscale much worry. Clearly inflation is a new concept to him.

I think I might be in a stereotype. Well I have a fiery temperament and not always the kindness of persons. Sometimes I feel like turning off some peoples heads meanwhile they think I'm loving it. I like making muffins but not an inside person, sifting and sweating is more my deal. Most females my age consider me "boyish" and getting/owning chickens makes it worse. When I'm asked what do like doing best then usually I'm on the other end of the line b/c of the chicken owning thing. And when I was told having birds is dangerous-my bucket popped and I grab that person and pulled her through the feed trough. I need to work on it but why do you need to get condemned for just being different

Well, seems like I have the opposite issue. Most folks think I'm a valley girl when they first see me, but once I speak or they ask me what I do for a hobby, a look of shock comes over their faces.
