Her eyelid closes. The eyeball looks a little cloudy so she may have lost vision already. Although she might have a little sight in that eye. If she survives this I consider that a win. Having even partial sight in that eye would be a huge bonus. If I have given the dosage of Tylan 50 incorrectly, do I need to increase the dosing to 3x for another 5 days? Tonite would be her last shot. She is very lightweight right now, so it really freaks us out to give her a shot.I have never seen white material stick out of the eyeball before. I would keep irrigating the eye or use a warm wet compress held on the eye for a few minutes to try and soften that. The apply some ointment, and later try to move it. Does it keep her eyelid from closing? Tylan dosage is 0.25 ml per pound of weight given 3 times a day for up to 5 days, which treats mycoplasma (MG.) My fear is the eye may be permanently blinded, but I hope not.
Good news! The stuck thing was off her eye when I dressed it at noon! I fished it out of the corner. So grateful! And today she's eating chicken feed and cat food. Doing the Tylan 50 3x orally for 3 days.
