Stuffy Nose

Hey everyone! I recently was given a 3rd baby duck and he had wry neck but now improving greatly! His nostrils seem to be a bit clogged....just like he has a stuffy nose. I always have water deep enough for him to submerge his beak and he’s trying to clear it but having trouble doing so.

has anyone flushed them before? I’m worried to cause more issues as I read it can go to their lungs

how do I take his temperature to make sure he’s not sick? He’s acting sassy as ever and wants to eat! Just love this little guy so much already and want him to be comfortable.

Their temperature can be checked by sticking a rectal thermometer up their vent, but I don't think that's something I would personally do with a bird that size.
