All of the chicks hatched with chipmunk stripes. There is barring in the pullet’s feathers. I’ll get a picture when I get home.

Live poultry markets sell large fowl Silkies as many Asian cultures like the dark meat and the birds are sold by the poundI'm most curious on... how did you get largefowl Silkies? Crossbreeding? Buying one? Really poor extra large "bantam" Silkie?
Yes I was aware of the choice of meat in the culture. Not expecting to sell any of them, we sold all of our Silkie (regular bantams) cockerels to some local Hmong for five dollars each, because we didn't care if they were going to be eaten. Which of course they were. Happy moment for both of us.Live poultry market sell large fowl Silkies as many Asian cultures like the dark meat and the birds are sold by the pound
That's your sex link genes with these chicks. All of the male checks have light skin and all of the female checks have dark skin.
Ya but if it was a sex link to dilute the stripes it would be a barred cockerel not the pullet. All of the chicks hatched with chipmunk stripes. There is barring in the pullet’s feathers. I’ll get a picture when I get home.
Would I be able to recreate this sex link cross by breeding a Silkie cock to hens with yellow or pink legs? That's your sex link genes with these chicks.
