I have had backyard chickens for 5 years, and one hen hatched 3 chicks this spring. (first time I ever had babies hatch) They are almost half grown now, they eat good, play, all of that, but yesterday I noticed one of the babies stumbling and falling down. It gets up, runs, eats, but stumbles again and falls down. This morning it came out with the rest, ate, came up near the house with the rest, but stumbles and falls over. Could this be some disesase that could run through all my chickens? Anybody know what this could be? I have never had this happen to any of my birds before. I might add that nothing has changed, they have access to the same environment that they have all had for the last 5 years. Thanks...niksmess

might be something it is picking up and eating (a particular plant or such that it really shouldnt eat or drink)... you must be so very careful what they hve access to... I would keep a good eye on it and make sure any spilled feed is cleaned up each day.
