Stupid Breed Question

go to
google.com and put in the 2 breeds and read about their breed type
and it will bring up all kinds of pictures and information

if you can imagine a small chicken that stands up right it is what a serama looks like to me
a japanese has simular up rightness but has a hugh tail

the japanese have been in the standard for yrs and the seramas are not

so do some reading and looking at pictures and maybe you will get the jist of the breed type
any questions email me

I was told that with seramas, the standard calls for a 'V' shaped back whereas the japanese bantams have a 'U' shape back.

For seramas, I believe the V shape is only visible when 'in pose' but I am not too sure. When the are 'in pose', wings should be vertical, and everything is basically upright almost. It`s so beautiful when you see a "perfect" bird....Seramas are way better looking than the japanese bantams!....(sorry japanese bantam lovers)

I only own seramas and most of my birds are "pet quality" so I cant really tell you- in connection with the standard.

I`m still looking and trying to breed for better type in my birds but it`s hard because most of the breeders around here will only sell their pet quality culls.
