Stupid computer virus

I am so mad. Stupid mcaffee let a virus through on my computer. I think I've got it cleared out now, I downloaded AVG and deleted the mcaffee. All my pictures are gone now. Most of my important pictures are backed up, both on cd's and shutterfly. I'm just afraid there are a few recent one's that aren't, and I'm so upset. There are pictures of my little girls that I can't get back. I haven't had time to go search through all my cd's to make sure I still have the one's with my daughter Maddy's photos, she passed away and if they are gone I can't get more pictures of her. I am just SO HURT AND MAD right now, I hope whoever created and spread the virus has all their memories taken from them.

I'm scared to even put the photo cd's in my computer to find out, I don't want them to be corrupted somehow, they are all I have left of her pictures. I'm going to borrow my mom's, and burn all my pictures onto a couple of dvd's, make a few copies. Then I'm going to mail them to a few family members for safekeeping just in case. All because some selfish person decided it would be fun to mess with someone else's computer. Hopefully karma see's to it that they get what they deserve sometime.
Sorry for ranting everyone, but thought I should remind all to make sure anti virus is up to date and anything important is backed up and somewhere safe!

That's horrible. I hope you find them. If you emailed them to anyone maybe you can get them back, or from your sent or deleted emails.

I suggest you download and use the following programs --

Microsoft Security Essentials (free if you have a legitimate copy of windows)
Malware Bytes (There is a free version and paid version)

They are good at removing viruses, worms, adware and trojans

Download malwarebytes forsure it will clean your computer well. If you have any questions or if theres something you need help with maybe even finding your pics just pm i have been a computer technican for years i might be able to help you out i dont mind answering a few questions for you if you have any.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I have all my files backed up, I'm pretty paranoid about my computer crashing and losing everything so I re copy everything a few times a year. I have most of the more recent pics on my sd card, I've been too lazy to go through and erase them, which I guess turned out to be a good thing. I used the malware before, it worked great but I had forgot about it so thanks! Going to re download it now.

also Avast free antivirus works really good. I've had it for 6 years and love it!
