we trained my dogs by having one person hold there faces tightly, another person hold there stomach just in case and someone hold the chicken in front of them AND when they tried to strike said no louder and louder then no with a sack on the side of the stomach. it seemed to work. our chickens are in cages w/ runs but they still get out.
