More than likely its because you need to adjust your thinking about who and what they are. As already noted Guineas have not survived because they don't have intelligence, after all they're surviving in a completely alien land.

My Guineas coop up each and every night. Not every night is a smooth as the night before but they go in every night. Any one that has raised Guineas for any length of time will tell you the same thing. So chances are its a problem on your end rather than the birds.
