Stupid question, but I am asking anyway.

I know you are concered about it, twister, but I don't think I am going to the extremes yet, but if the mild treatment does not work then I will, not being mean

Knight Hawk Ranch, Would'nt dawn dry out his skin? he already has dry skin......

If you use a good spot on flea treatment, like Advantage, you don't have to use flea shampoo. In fact, you aren't supposed to use more than one flea protect at a time. It can poison them if you flea shampoo, then flea spray and use a spot on.

the dawn may dry out the skin a little but if you rinse with a little conditioner it will help. I had to use baby shampoo on a very old dog we had, he was allergic to any flea meds, and then used just very little people hair conditioner and rinsed very well. When you give a pet a bath you are really drowning the fleas, the meds in pet shampoo are not really that necessary (per my vet) but you cant bathe a pet 2, 3, 4 times a week so they suggest something like Frontline.
I cant express how treating the rest of the house is important, something as simple as vaccuming everything and then tying the vac bag up in a plastic/ziploc and throwing it out. This will help pick up the eggs and loose fleas in bedding and carpet.

OK I went to Tractor Supply this afternoon and I only had $30 I got flea shampoo, carpet and ulpolstry spray and flea stuff to put on his back. went to check out and all together it was $31.99
