That's good! Have the farm owners had chickens before? Good cockerels/roosters are quite nice to have around. They may take a fancy to him and change their minds.
I LOVE hearing my boys crow. And I have two neighbors that also love listening to the boys and watching the flock go about their chicken business.

Thank you all very much. The farm where I board my horses, and have my chickens, does not want roosters because of the crowing. At what age do they start crowing? Is there such a thing as a rooster that doesn't crow? I really don't want to get rid of him!

My EE rooster was late to crow. My barred rock rooster was crowing a good month before the EE. I love the crow of a rooster on a farm.
