Thanks! That sort of helps.

Now, how much did that one cost?
And second, how in the world do I hook it up to my light?!
hu.gif

I have had people show me threads showing how to, but I DO NOT have a lamp kit like that. My light thingy is different from the ones other people use. All it is a little lamp and I took off some parts of the "lamp parts, so that all there were was the part where the bulb goes in and the wire sticking out the back. (sorry it's kinda confusing

) I don't see any place where I can hook up any wires.....so confused

....I might not even bother with a thermostat, even though I should. But once I am out of school during the summer, I will have sooo much time to watch the incubator, instead of having to worry about the temp. at school, so I really don't NEED a thermostat....not for now anyway. I will probably get one sooner or later, but not now. All i want to do is hatch out a few eggs, and THEN, later on i will start hatching out more and more. Any thoughts?

Sorry this post is soo long.

Just had lots of queestions about the thermostat....

It cost $6.87 not including tax..
The "switch box" that I have it mounted onto (kind of a heat sink I guess) cost $2:25

I could probably put together some pictures of how to wire it up..
Do you know anyone who's worked with house current before?

Gotta run for now.

These pix arent really good enough and I don't want to take it apart right now (I'm still calibrating it and have eggs ready to go in)

After the thermostat kicked the light on again.

I will try to put something together in Paint that will show you how to wire it.

Dunno if this is good enough or not..

Whenever I work on house current, or use a chainsaw up in a tree or dangerous stuff like that..
I try to work with a buddy..
Even if they are only there to watch..
I feel it's safer that way

I will ask my dad about it today when i see him. maybe he will know about that stuff, since he used to work on cars and stuff.

I bet your dad will be able to help. If so, letting him do the wiring is the smart thing to do. You really need to be careful, especially if you are not sure what you are doing.

But, if he does help, make sure you watch him really closely. That way, you will be able to do it on your own the next time!!

Good luck.
