Styrofoam Incubator

Ok I just thought of another question does it matter where the location of the lower water heater Thermos goes? Should it be places near the heat bulb?

This pic isn't the stytofoam incubator that I use but you can get an idea of how close I put my thermostat, and the fan would be placed in front of the light to throw the heat to the other end. I modified this thermostat and was testing it to see how well it worked. BTW it worked excellent.

thermo shouldnt be close to the heat source like that. ya should have it away from the source to get a uniform heating. just dont see how that would work...

A wafer thermostat wouldn't need to be that close, but a water heater thermostat does, and for the people I have suggested it to always come back on here happy, because their temps are better. A wafer thermostat, or a fancy digital thermostat doesn't need to be that close, because they read the ambient temperature, the water heater thermostats mainly respond to the radiant heat. If you wish I could send you a link to a video explaining what I am talking about.
