.....you might need to do some research on the 'warmth' vs 'ventilation'.
From what I have read they need 1 square foot of opening per chicken. That's what they have. The sleeping area is pretty tight so they should share heat.

Weeellll....with adequate ventilation a coop will not 'hold heat'...
...they will each keep themselves warm under their feathers.
As long as they are dry and out of the wind, they will be fine.

They will be dry and out of the wind. I guess if they can't handle below zero temps my chicken farming days are over. I just figured sitting on styrofoam would keep them warmer from below. Like when you sit on a foam cushion when you are deer hunting.
