I ordered 31 chicks from McMurray hatchery for the first of the month. Round one we lost all but 12 chicks. Called them up and they sent out a new order. Don't you know, that was the holiday weekend? Oh yes. All DOA. Now, I am not big softy but, darn it, I got real tired of dead baby chicks. Today I got replacement order #2. All alive and kicking. Amazing! Moral has definitely improved around here. This is one of the speckeled sussex that a friend of mine bought in this shipment. You can see my partridge cochins in the backround.
