So, like everyone else i went out new years eve with some friends, had some drinks and a wonderful night. I get home around 130am... and all seems well.... 45 minutes later we have a policeman banging on our front door telling us we need to evacuate immediately..... i was not prepared AT ALL. There was a gas leak at the shopping center a few blocks from our house and was spilling propane in the air......possible causing an explosion! I was not ready to leave my animals behind.... so i boxed up all 5 ducks, 4 chickens, and the 2 rabbits. We also had our 3 dogs with us but obv not boxed up! such a scary feeling leaving everything behind except for the clothes on our backs! We were let back in our homes 1 am the next morning so.... i was on 45 min of sleep, a hangover, and panicking to bring in the new year! unbelievable! everyone was ok thank god and i guess thats all that matters!
