Such a blessing!

I know and I say a little prayer every day that y'all will get some. We could use some too.

We needed rain, but not as bad as Texas. We prayed that when Lee came in, it would go into Texas before it looped back around here. Maybe the next one (Nate?) will. We have been praying for Texas.

I'm so happy it's cooled down here. I've actually been able to clean my coop and do other outside stuff and ENJOY it. My chickies are loving the weather too.

Thanks we need prayers & rain. Almost every stock tank is bone dry. Its a very bad situation & the effects will be devastating for many years down the road.

I miss my chickens, especially this time of year. They so loved the fall weather, and my Sunny would crow his loudest on the cool September/October mornings. *sigh* Oh well, guess that's why I still hang around BYC, so I can live vicariously through y'all.

The local cattle sales have been out of this world too. This little town's auction sold almost as many cows as our human population each week during August. Hubby's friends have either sold or slaughtered most of their herd. I haven't been to the local lake this summer. I don't think I want to know how low it is. It got pretty low a couple years ago and it was nothing like this year has been.

They're selling off cattle here too. There's no hay to be found to feed them this winter, at any price.
