If anyone in the US has purple eggs to sell, please consider emailing me. I am blowing out the eggs for my school wide art and craft in March.
I use a 20 cc syringe and large needle to push air thru one hole in the egg. Works great.
This Tuesday is how to sew a button on a shirt, how to make a simple hem, mending stitch, and how to use sewing tape when in a rush. Then they will decorate boxes in various shapes. One for needle and thread, and another smaller for buttons. When they are done they get needle, thread, pin cushion, threader, and buttons for their boxes.
We did the gem stone beading right before Christmas. They learned common minerals and rocks in MI. Was a great opportunity to reteach igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks and minerals.
My craft activities are free, no fees for the crafts and snacks. I have 14, 11-12 yr olds by myself after school on this coming Tuesday. LOL!
Now I need to find dark eggs, blue eggs, green eggs, and every other color I can find, (I have white and brown). I had no idea until now that there were purple eggs! My volunteers could get a purple egg. Bet that would net me a couple of parents to help out.
There will easily be triple the number of students for the egg craft. Cathryn MI
