Sudden chicken death

Hi! We added 3 new Polish to our flock 2 weeks ago today. They are still a little nervous of us but seem to have adjusted well. The thing is, one of them last night went to lay down earlier than normal and this morning is dead. She seemed to adjust faster than the others. They have not been getting picked on and free range during the day. The cat hangs out with the chickens but they all
Like each other. She has no visible injuries. The person I got them from had them vaccinated and wormed. What could’ve gone wrong?

Maybe she ate something poisonous since you free range.

I was at work most of the day but she seemed ok when I came home at lunch. The only thing I can think is maybe a bell pepper plant part but everyone else has eaten those with no issue.

How old are these birds?
The only way to know for sure what happened would be to have a necropsy with pathology done.
