Sudden Chicken Death

I went out to let the chickens out for the day and found one of my 6 month old New Hampshire Reds dead on the ground. I've got approx 35 chickens and 4 ducks. 7 of the chickens and the 4 ducks are about 1 year old, 15 of the chickens are 6 months old and 13 of them are 5 months old. All the other chicken appear to be fine and acting normal. All of them live in a common coop and run area that is approx 400 sq feet, but they really only stay in there at night, they free range the whole day. I didn't see any obvious wounds. Does anyone have any ideas? Any suggestions on what to watch for?

I'm sorry. For that number of birds, this isn't really unusual. I would guess heart, liver or reproductive system -- at any rate, something you couldn't have known, or treated if you had, since the rest seem healthy.
