And have them all die from something at the place!
I would check yard for plant or mushrooms that might be poisonous to chickens.
I can't say for sure potatoe peels killed my chicken. It could of had heart attack.I will just say that chicken was perfectly healthy when it ate potatoe peels few hours later it was stiff as board.Who knows maybe the greedy little sucker choked on the potatoe peel.I didn't have autopsy done.I just bagged it and tossed in garbage.I know that sounds terrible to all the people who hand make coffins, find perfect resting place, dig 6 foot deep hole and have funeral ceremony with friends and relatives.Nothing wrong with that(if your coo coo) I just prefer express burial it's already scheduled to come by and empty garbage cans Thursdays.
but opted for the "express burial" as well.
The best way get rid of mushrooms is carefully place plastic bag over them then pull them out of ground.Bag keeps spores from spreading.mushrooms release spores when they are disturbed those spores turn into more mushrooms.I haven't put mine out yet, but I do get mushrooms in the yard. Now I got to figure out how to get rid of the mushrooms. Thank you for bringing that up.
OP--I hope it gets figured out. Sorry for your losses
Thanks... It's always sad when when of the birds dies even if the burial is not a traditional in ground at home type. We are on a septic tank so no flush burials of any kind for me.sorry for your loss .express burials arent as emotional. If chicken werent so big i would teach you about Flush burials
