She certainly showed no signs of distress. I take very good care of my girls and are around them several times a day. I need to except that it was something internal and nothing I did to attribute to her passing even though my heart is very saddened. Thank you.This is not real unusual. It is called sudden death syndrome. They are alive and perfectly fine - and then they are not. A very quick way to go, usually almost no sign of distress.
An old time chicken lady once told me, that she thought it was a genetic defect in the internal organs like the heart. As the bird gets bigger, it is harder for the body to keep up. It is just a genetic failure, nothing you did.
