Howdy yal.
I just went outside to check on my birds, and I found one of my silkies dead. Ugg!!! I’m seriously so confused/irritated! This is my second silkie to die this year. She wasn’t even a year old. Luckily, I’m not really attached to this bird, but it sure is a bummer, since she’s my best broody

This gal has show NO signs of being sick!! She is always alert, has enough feed&water, and has perfectly normal poop. I’m positive it wasn’t a predator, ‘cause she has no blood or scratches on her. Yal, I’m honestly tired of the silkie breed. I love mine to death, but they never seem to make it through the first year! I have a flock of Sex Links and Wyandottes that are approaching their 2nd year, and they are so happy, healthy, and alive!
What do y’all think about this?
