I recently purchased 3 baby bantam chicks from a local and trusted petstore. I've had them for about 2 days now and they were doing just fine. Well today while I was not there to witness it my sister saw one of them laying with his head by the water (dead I think). She then noticed her baby chicken would not stand up and when she picked it up and placed it down it fell back down. She witnesses it have some sort of spasms before he died. Now there is one left and from what I've heard of the symptoms before the prior one died. The last one has started. He won't stand up, and seems weaker than before. While I don't know if saving him is possible, as responses will be slow, I would like to know what could've happened to kill all three of them. I've raised baby chickens of the same breed before, its puzzling. They were eating grass that might've been sprayed with flea repellent or something of sort when let out, could that be it?
Any help is appreciated.....
