I have only two hens and two roosters. They are only less than a year old... They've been laying for about three months... now a sudden stop in eggs. They typically lay 2 eggs per day (I can only assume it was one egg from each hen) Only thing I did different is change their bedding from wood shavings to Hay. They're still eating good from their Layer Feed... we were about to incubate the eggs, now nothing to incubate! Live in Central WI so weather has been a sudden warm spell into the 40/50's.... up from teens.

It could be the weather change, but birds also get iffy on laying in winter anyway, ours have stopped laying as well, but everything seems okay. Do you have a closed run, or do you let them free range?

Closed run, but we let them out every so often. Two dogs ate the rest of our flock so we have to be careful letting them out. Otherwise I'd free range daily.

Ah, I asked because usually, if they don't like the straw, they will hide eggs. I would still go on an egg hunt though, just in case
