Sudden limping in 2 pullets and one with a limp wing

I still lean toward injury for both of them but would still give the B-Complex.
Yes, you can mix it with a bit of food or yogurt and give it to them.

At 14-16 weeks of age, I'd keep them on chick starter or an all flock feed (18-20%) until they come into lay. Usually more protein than layer feed, definitely less calcium.

The Wyandotte, have you looked in her ear for any pus or infection?
I just switched them last week to the layer feed but they share a coop with the hens so they were eating some anyway. I’ve had chickens that laid at 16 wks and I didn’t switch them soon enough so they laid soft shelled eggs. So I now switch at 15 weeks. A little on the early side for the CLB but I didn’t think a week or 2 would be a big deal. I can offer them chick stater too but I didn’t think I should wait until they laid.

It’s possible we had a hawk attack when I wasn’t home. Also possible that they got into a squabble with the 2 hens but that seems like a lot of damage so I’m leaning toward a hawk if it’s an injury. I honestly hope it is an injury because it seems more likely they will recover than some of the diseases. I don’t see any puss on the Wyandotte’s ear but it’s pretty much swollen shut so I can see the hole.

I really appreciate your advice and help! Hopefully they’ll recover with no issues.

Were the pullets vaccinated for Mareks disease? That is sometimes something to think about with walking issues, drooping wing, and other problems. The swelling might be from pecking.

These pullets were not vaccinated but the babies I just got are vaxed for Mareks and now I’m wondering if there’s any way the babies are shedding the vaccine and getting these girls sick. Is that possible?

I haven’t observed any pecking.

No, that should not be the case. I have raised vaccinated and nonvaccinated chicks together at the same time, and have never had a case of Mareks.

My cream legbar just died 😭 I bought 3 from a local lady when they were 2 weeks old and all 3 have died. They all died the same way too. But months apart. They would look puffy and act lethargic for a day or two and then die. I’m at my wits end. I have read every disease on this forum and I can’t figure it out. Does anyone know how I can find out what happened?

I'm so sorry about your cream legbar! I hope she wasn't carrying something contagious. If you haven't already, I would try to contact the person you got them from and notify her that the birds you got have died. Then keep posted about necropsy results. If I had sold birds that later died, I'd want to know so I can test my flock.

I just reached out to her and she is as baffled as I am.
