Ohh, that sounds just like the bug a had 2-3 weeks ago! The dizziness was so bad I asked DH to take me to the weekend clinic. After 2 hours I wanted to go home; the doc saw me after 4 hours. Just a "virus" not the flu. Can't tell you how long it lasted; it was a run-on into the next bug the boys brought home from college.

I still haven't developed a fever, and the dizziness has subsided. But now (this evening) every time I get up I feel like I'm walking with a tilt, so it wouldn't surprise me if it comes back.

A friend of mine said she's been doing the same thing for a week, with the dizziness and such

I started out that way, turned out I was getting the flu the kids had brought home from school. Ended up with a week of 103 degree fever, lost 17 lbs. Two weeks after the fevers ended I still have a nasty cough I can't shake.

Sometimes the fever takes a while to show up. The fever is not the illness, it is your body raising your temperature to try to kill the invader.

Silly, coke dehydrates you!! Water, Water, Water.

Shelley, I live with moderate to severe vertigo so I know how you feel. Its no fun!

Try some motion sickness pills... (OTC) til you can to the doc. It may help some.

Take Care!

Do you have any sinus drainage going on? I had the dizziness for about 6 months several years ago- was so dizzy I ended up losing 30 pounds and got pretty scary looking. I had sinus surgery to fix it, but I'm really clear now on how symptoms of sinus pressure can affect one so dramatically.

Foggy brain, pressure in the back of the head, horrible sea-sickness- and all because of congestion in the sinuses behind the ears- they put pressure on the inner ear and it caused full-blown vertigo.

Try a decongestant and lots of water!

I have sinus drainage, but I'm a smoker, so that kind of goes with the territory. I'll see if I have any decongestants, if not I'll get some as soon as I can.

I have sinus problems, had an infection get so bad a while ago that it damaged them. I don't normally notice that I have an infection unless it gets into my forehead, or my nose starts bleeding
